Boulder Senior Portraits - It's that time of year again!

We're starting to get lots of requests in for senior portraits - most Boulder County schools have an early October deadline. And this year have moved to just one package - one 60 minute package with 40 final images on CD/DVD and a Facebook Timeline image to share with friends. This week we sent out 1,000 senior portrait flyers through Niwot High School, Longmont High School, and Erie High School. The deadlines and requirements can be found on these links:

We always recommend getting senior portraits done EARLY as once the school year begins students are extremely busy and portraits get harder and harder to schedule!

Boulder Baby Photographer - Baby Levi 6 days old!

We photographed Baby Levi at just six days old - he slept through the entire shoot - I only had a minute or two that his eyes were open, but I love the outcome. Big brother Tyler was at preschool - but maybe I can catch the two boys together in a few weeks. Some of my favorite shots from the session are below. East Boulder County Artists Studio Tour - Continues TODAY Sunday May 5th

I had the pleasure of visiting a number of artists' studios yesterday along the tour set up by the East Boulder County Artists Association. Very inspiring! Maps are available at every location and more info on their website at www.ebcacolorado.org. The studios are open from 11-5pm on Saturday and Sunday and 39 different artists are participating in Longmont, Erie, Louisville and Lafayette! I thought even some of the houses were inspiring and a little bit of art in themselves!

Colorado Children's Photos - May Day in Colorado!

What a week of children's photos. I spent two mornings at Lake Dillon Preschool in Dillon doing class and individual photos and then this morning at Alexander Dawson School in Lafayette doing photos for Grandparents Day. All of them really warmed my heart! Although I don't think I have the patience to be a teacher, I do like my occasional school photo day! May Day in Dillon was a snowy one - and I got a few candid photos on the playground - what a crowd - one person said I was being "chased by cherubs!" Thanks for making me smile kiddos!















and this last photo was just taken of a kindergarten art project on the wall at Dawson School - I thought it was so expressive and wonderfully done. Officially I'm probably breaking copyright laws taking a photo of this student's artwork, but I hope his parents will understand! This image just makes me smile!

and isn't there some similarity between the kids on stage singing and the stick people drawn? or did I just get giddy?

Boulder Baby Photographer - Hello Kubick Family!

I love photographing families like the Kubicks that I've met almost everyone at least once, photographing Andrea and Jeff's Snowboarding Wedding two years ago and then photographing newborn portraits for Baby Elliot (now 5 months old) earlier this year!  The only person I had not met before was one year old Ethan, who seemed to be the star of the show.  Although once Elliot gets more mobile, look out Cousin Ethan!

It was hard not to smile watching Ethan take some of his small steps - because he seemed to be enjoying it so much - he would "babble" the whole time he was walking, and I'm not sure anyone knew exactly what he was exclaiming, but it made everyone giggle!  Thanks Kubick Family for letting me capture some of these fun moments when three generations spend quality time together.

18 Month Old Twins - Finn and Zoe

What a fun shoot with Finn and Zoe this week! It always starts slow and cautiously with toddlers... they look me up and down (even though I've photographed them several times and stare at their photos on Facebook!) Then they back up into the safe laps of their mom, Jessica, or Nana, Marypat! Little by little I get a few smiles, although Zoe was tough - especially when I took the IPhone away from her! But the whole shoot just warmed my heart and reminds me how quickly kiddos grow up! Here's a little slideshow and a few of my favorites!

And Finn and Zoe - you have the most amazing Nana who worked hard to get some of these smiles, as well as the most amazing mom & dad (and auntie Keegan and Uncle "Duck.") You are blessed and spread so much joy around to your family and friends! Keep on smiling!
