Keystone Senior Portraits - Erin's Senior Portraits at Keystone Ranch

Erin goes to school in Denver, but wanted to have her senior portraits taken near their mountain home at Keystone Ranch. Since they live in Keystone Ranch, we didn't have to wander far from her home to get some amazing views and scenery perfect for senior portraits!

You could see Erin warm up and have fun as the session continued... I think some of her best photos were taken near the end. That's why I always recommend at least the Favorite package with 90 minutes... it gives the senior lots of options and different locations and I can capture them in their best light!

Lake Dillon Family Portraits - Meet the Spielbergs!

The Spielberg Family has a second home here in Summit County and first hired me last year for family portraits and an 85th birthday party. They are all so fun! So I knew this year's shoot would be great too! We had so much fun together that the dad, Jon, said at the end... "Kay you had so much fun photographing us that you should pay us!" Anyway... thanks for being such great subjects and great clients & making me laugh!

Breckenridge Senior Portraits - Tyler's Senior Photos at Mayflower Gulch

I'm SO GLAD that Tyler chose Mayflower Gulch as the location for his senior portraits. I've photographed there many times over the years, and love the location, but it does take a little coordinating to get out there in the wilderness! But we were blessed with great weather, and Tyler was a great willing subject!

This last image was trying to reinact a favorite photo when Tyler was 2. Not exactly the same look, but close! I'm not sure we would have talked Tyler into the overalls at this age!

Summit County Children's Photographer - Four Boys and a Playhouse

Had to title this shoot "Four Boys and a Playhouse" - what a PERFECT combination! We needed some photos of the playhouse for the Summit Foundation's Rubber Duck Race on September 3rd, where the playhouse will be auctioned off. The first photos were a little too boring of just the playhouse. And I added my husband and 13 year old daughter, both taller than me, which made the playhouse look even smaller.

But this week I recruited a few little subjects, four boys between between the ages of 1 and 3 and all good friends, and the photos were a snap! But maybe the correct titleshould be "Four Boys, Two moms, one grandma, one great aunt, one babysitter, one photographer and a playhouse!" Thanks for being such great models Rhyer, Jack, Jacob & Ethan!

This first one didn't have the playhouse, but it's my favorite of the shoot! I LOVE how kids are so quick to take up on blowing dandelions or weeds like this for all of us! Thanks for being a sport Jacob!

Keystone Family Portraits - The Elk House with the Short Family

The Short Family gathered in Keystone in July and asked me to take family photos at The Elk House - a beautiful home that can be rented at the back of Keystone Ranch. And with the wildflowers in peak season, it was a perfect backdrop for photos!

I even returned to the elk house a week later with my own family to take family portraits, but we had lost a lot of the yellow wildflowers.
