A slideshow of his naming ceremony is online at this link...
and some of my favorite photos:
The naming ceremony was an absolutely beautiful event. In Ghana the name of the baby isn't announced until this ceremony which is traditionally held at dawn. As a "compromise" between cultures, this ceremony was at 8am or there may have been few guests. I had tears in my eyes several times during the ceremony... just the tradition and the culture, and the presence of Ihsan's grandma and great aunt at the ceremony. Even the beautiful robes that mom dad and Baby Ihsan are wearing came from Ghana.
Thanks for letting me be a part of such a beautiful ceremony Haydee and Anas!
and this is one of my favorite photos - I think it should be titled, "Happy Grandma." Congratulations to all of you!
