The 10th annual Tubbs Romp to Stomp out Breast Cancer

Saturday I photographed the Tubbs Romp to Stomp in Frisco. It was a huge success with a total of 2,400 rompers and approximately $90,000 was raised for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. There was a Snowshoe Race, a kids Lil' Rompers Snowshoe Race, and a 3K and 5K snowshoe romp. Thanks to the amazing Denver photographer Keri Doolittle for shooting with me!

The weather was NOT in our favor, as it was in the single digits and windy much of the morning. Some of the photos were painful because people's faces were either covered or battling the cold... but luckily the clouds parted and we had some sun by the final awards ceremony. And most folks kept warm by romping or dancing!

Slideshow online here... and a few of my favorite photos below.

I really enjoyed photographing the Jacobs family for the second year in a row. They are all part of Linda's Team, in memory of Linda Jacobs. It's not too late to donate to Linda's Team or any of the other teams on the Tubbs Romp to Stomp Website! This little guy, Linda's grandson was from last year... and the rest of the family photos are from this year! What team spirit!

And the amazing Liz Overdorf, raised over $6,000 and won first prize for donations!

And B. Casapulla from Frisco who was in third place for most donations!

Donations can be made online to any of these teams and if you donate through March 30th will still count towards this year's ROMP TO STOMP!

Saturday is the Frisco Romp to Stomp out Breast Cancer 2012!

I'm proud to have photographed SIX amazing Romp to Stomp events! Five here in Colorado and one in Park City Utah. They are beautiful... the contrast between white snow and elaborate pink outfits. The energy of the day as a fundraiser for Susan G. Komen is really positive and uplifting as difficult as the disease itself is. This year there are 2,200 snowshoers signed up and room for more!

Each year lots of survivors and families and supporters have come out on snowshoes and raised a LOT of money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Some highlights and favorite photos over the years are below. It's not to late to sign up to walk or snowshoe (3K or 5K) and you can ALWAYS donate to a snowshoer! You can even sign up as a "snowed in showshoer!" raising money for the event, but not in attendance.

If you need a recommendation for rompers to donate to I'll list a few of my personal favorites:

B Casapulla - Frisco, Colorado
Robyn Cornwell - Frisco, Colorado

Each year I get help photographing the event and have had some great photographers help me! It's hard to capture an event with 2,200 or more people without a little help! I'm happy to have Keri Doolittle of Denver come join me tomorrow and I can't wait to see her images!

First Tracks at Breckenridge Ski Area yesterday!

What a beautiful morning for the 4th annual Summit Foundation's First Tracks at Breckenridge Ski Area yesterday! Blue Skies and eleven inches of new snow and the mountain open for ONLY Summit Foundation donors from 7:30 to 8:30am. The smiles were everywhere and the photos were amazing! Thank you Summit Foundation and donors for making this possible! After skiing an amazing breakfast at Ten Mile Station was served - the ricotta stuffed french toast with fresh berry syrup was the favorite item at our table!

A slideshow of the day is here...

and some of my favorite photos below! A link to all 120 photos of the day is here.

Keystone's Bob Follett
I had the pleasure of skiing a run with Bob Follett (husband of Ice Princess Nancy Follett. The Follett's have been active in the Summit Foundation for years, as well as many Summit County organizations. In his 80s Bob still skiis 5 days a week - I took some action shots and spent some time thinking "What would it be like to walking in the shoes (or ski in the skiis) of the amazing Mr. Follett?" A total inspiration on skiis, in business, and in our community!
