Boulder Baby Photographer - meet 7 week old Isla!

Isla was just 7 weeks old when we did these newborn photos and isn't she adorable? Sleeping or not. The only crying photos were those when we tried to put her in a pink bike helmet, which was a really important picture to the parents, but she wasn't going for it at all!

Breckenridge Wedding Photography - I LOVE Small Colorado Weddings!

Rocky and Jean were married two weeks ago in the backyard of their daughter's Breckenridge home. There were only six people there plus the officiant and myself. It was carefree, easy, and so full of joy! I adore these kinds of weddings! Thanks so much for having me capture some of these special moments!

When trying to figure out what time the ceremony would start and what time I should arrive, they told me, "The ceremony will start when you get here!" I've never had that happen at a wedding before! And when I asked if they were nervous they both said yes, even though they've been together for twenty some years! Keep on smiling Rocky and Jean!

Boulder Children's Photographer - Taylor and Family at Sapphire Point

I've been photographing Taylor since she was a baby, and she never disappoints me! Always some great smiles and great fun! This time we added her grandparents her dog and some balloons to the mix up at Sapphire Point between Keystone and Breckenridge. I was worried we would lose the balloons in the wind, but they survived and Taylor got to bring them home with her.

Boulder Children's Photographer - Family Portraits on Lake Dilllon

Sonnet and her family have come for family portraits a number of times, but as she's gotten older, it's more fun to be outdoors and active and keep her busy. So the balloons and playground worked well and kept four year old Sonnet smiling! We hadn't anticipated the high winds... so in the end we did lose those balloons up in the air.

Boulder Baby Photographer - Brides to Babies

I've had a lot of baby shoots this year that were couples whose weddings I photographed a few years ago and now they are having a baby and I'm always thrilled to be asked back to photograph the new little family! This year I have photographed 6 or 7 babies whose parents weddings I photographed just a few years ago.

My business seems to be moving in that direction also - I just love photographing babies! And it's a natural transition. The Knot is a wedding planning magazine and website that now has an offshoot that's called The Bump dedicated to pregnancy and babies and The Nest for home decorating. Colorado Brides and Babies is a local magazine that covers details for both Colorado weddings and babies. And I see many other photographers moving towards baby photography after years of photographing weddings.

Jessica and Dan were married in 2009 at Vail's Donovan Pavilion in and had twins this year, Finn and Zoe.





Kate and Kevin were married at Keystone Ranch in 2007 and welcomed baby Alana in December this year.







Julia and Jeremy were married at St. Mary's Chapel in Breckenridge in 2008 and welcomed their second baby Cole this year.





Josie and Geoff were married on a Silverthorne Ranch in 2007 and welcomed baby Tyson last year.



So who's next? I guess my snowboarding bride, Andrea, is next - she's having a baby in October! Can't wait to meet the new addition Andrea! And I'm glad it's a fall baby so you didn't have to consider "pregnant snowboarding!" I'm sure you would do it gracefully!
