Spring always starts off the high school senior portrait season - most high schools have an October or November deadline for getting senior portraits in to the schools. I usually recommend that they are taken early… as the fall school year can be especially busy. Some of my favorite high school senior portraits have been when seniors brought a friend along to the session - they help loosen things up and jump in a few photos - these first two photos are of Melissa and Alisha who both signed up for their senior portraits together at the same time! I brought a second photographer, the amazing Diana Sabreen, and we had a wonderful time!
I like seniors to share some of their interests and hobbies ahead of time to see if we can incorporate them into the shoot. We've included cars, guitars, chairlifts, basketballs, and pets. I even had one senior drive her $50,000 harp to my studio for a senior portrait! It all helps in getting the senior's personality to shine through and their passions!
