The Strand family came to Breckenridge this summer with 57 family members for a family reunion. I was a little worried about how we would get the large family portrait, as I do a class photo every year with 200 middle school students, but it's on bleachers and the principal has a bullhorn and helps me create order out of chaos! But I was up for the challenge and the Strand family was amazingly well organized and well behaved and I think it worked out as good as one could expect for a photo shoot with 57 family members! And sometimes I like the outtakes from these gatherings as much as the good photos! I did have to pull out all the tricks, and might have lost my voice for an hour or two afterwards, but I love the joy that comes with "most" of the photos!

And these last 3 are the outtakes trying to get some of the youngest grandkids. I kept hearing "this has got to be fast" so I started clicking early and got a lot of additional photos as I didn't know if we would really get any, but we did! They might not be enlarged and hanging in the living room - but we did get all the grandkids in one photo!
and I love how this little girl in front sees an opportunity and runs for it.... "get me outta this place!"
